ATTENTION – BESSEMER TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

Curb-side Garbage Collection Day Change

Beginning Tuesday April 30, 2024, residents whose curb-side garbage was collected on Thursdays, will now be collected on Tuesdays and will continue indefinitely.

This change of collection day is to accommodate the growing number of municipalities the Gogebic Range Solid Waste Management Authority services and reduce strain and fatigue on the collectors.  Bessemer Township residents whose curb-side garbage is collected on days other than Thursdays will not be affected and garbage collection will continue on the day previously assigned. We remind residents to place their blue bags of garbage at the curb by 7:00 am.

The Bessemer Township Board and Gogebic Range Solid Waste Management Authority apologize for any inconvenience and Thank You for your cooperation.
