Bessemer Township Board receives demolition bids

RAMSAY — At the Monday night meeting of the Bessemer Township Board the board received two bids for the demolition of the two properties on Mill Street at the edge of town. Snow Country Contracting and Angelo Luppino both presented bids. Luppino’s bid was the lowest and came in at $44,210 with the demolition to be done by the end of the year. Luppino is also working on the park project. The board also reported that their proposal to the union for an increase in DPW wages was granted. Workers will now have a base hourly starting wage at $15 per hour. In new business the board discussed a tank/park slab renovation proposal.
